Thanks for the tip! I was having a hard time getting the 4in into the donut even with soap. I did one years ago but couldn't remember. My main thing is hvac but I get a few plumbing calls. Once i busted out the grinder and beveled the edges of the pvc she went right in with a few taps. Thanks

I always test throught hot and cold on laundry if i cant do it through shower valve.. and put a gauge on the shower head. We have to get to 125 for a water test. Then air test drain lines to 5 pounds. Way easier than water.

Also destroys the coating and gives the bristles split ends. It's good if your badly gunned but idnputna splash of Murphys or dawn if you have no Murphys first. I stick with a plastic bristle for that or a matted brass one

Why not cut it flat to the stud so you can land the corner bead(the tile’s bead) right on top of it? That way you don’t even have to spackle.
